Living happily forever with family and friends can be a gift in life but not with “Forever Chemicals.”
Forever chemicals are invisible to the human eye and omnipresent. They can be active participants and endanger your day-to-living.
They are the probable cause and potential risk of autism, cancer, thyroid, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, decreased fertility, liver damage, and hormone suppression, per EPA (US Environmental Agency). Want are the scientific pieces of evidence?
Studies of lab animals have found potential links between PFAS chemicals and some cancers, including kidney and testicular, plus issues such as high blood pressure and low birth weight.
What is Forever Chemicals?
The world inherited “chemicals” from technological innovations. The side effects are anywhere and everywhere.
Caution! These chemicals are not passive bystanders.
They are anywhere and everywhere! More than 12,000 Per Fluorinated Alkyl Substances or PFAS total (NIH) of them are present, according to a government study released on July 5th, 2023. Drinking water from nearly half US faucets likely contains “forever chemicals” that may cause cancer and other health problems.
Where Would You Find Them?
They are contaminants in drinking water, small cities and towns, and private and public wells to varying extents.

They are in food packaging, non-stick pans in your kitchen, and water-resistant apparel. From there, they make into water supplies.
They are all synthetic compounds, and here are the most concerning ones. Want to get into some chemical names? Here you go.
What Are They?
Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)
Perfluoronanoic acid (PFNA)
Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS)
Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS)
Hexafluoro Propylene oxide dimer and its ammonium salt (HFPO-DA)
The Environment Protection Agen will provide details and exposure risks (EPA.Gov).
They have an excellent half-life and stay for a long time (forever!).
How Can You Protect From the Toxins (obesogens)?
Filters containing activated carbon or reverse osmosis membranes can remove the compounds.
The government hasn’t prohibited companies using the chemicals from dumping them into public wastewater systems,
Hopefully, the agencies creating these polluters would care for them, and the government would instate the policy.
As per USGS’s (United States Geological Survey) recent update: there is further evidence that PFAS is incredibly pervasive, and folks who rely on private wells are particularly vulnerable to the harms caused by these chemicals.”
Filtering off your drinking water over a reverse osmosis membrane filter, using cyclopure and Berkeley filters, helps remove chemicals forever. A relatively inexpensive Brita filter cannot remove this toxin but can remove metal toxins: Mercury, Cadmium, and can reduce Lead and Copper.

What is UP?
In MARCH 2023, the US Environmental Protection Agency proposed the first federal drinking water limit on six forms of PFAS, or per and polyfluorinated substances, which remain in the human body for years and don’t degrade in the environment. A final decision is expected later this year or in 2024.
